生死竞争

这段时间参加公司的培训,最后培训结束有一个考试,公司规定,末位15%的人按照考试不通过处理。于是大家都在抱怨,觉得这个规定不太合理,有人说,只要学到东西能干活就行了呗,干嘛搞得这么紧张;还有人说,如果每个人都学得很好,考得很好,按照公司规定,一样不通过吗?回答很冷:是的,一样不通过!

前不久,老婆研究生考试终于尘埃落定,有了一个不算太差的结果。她的分数虽然过了A类线,但是却距离报考学校的分数线太远,无奈下通过调剂才上了苏大。研究生考试就是这样的,大家考得越好,分数线就越高,最后总有很多人被刷下来。高考也是这样的逻辑,每年那么多报考清华北大失败的考生,其实都是非常优秀的。

似乎凡是关键重要的考试,都是末位淘汰,都是一定要淘汰的,不管淘汰的人有多优秀。淘汰是因为资源有限,这就是竞争的残酷。但是,残酷的竞争却带来了资源更好地被利用开发,最后从整体的角度看,结果是好的。竞争越是惨烈,结果越好,看来我司人力资源深谙这个道理啊!在公司,只有“更好”,才能生存。而众人“更好”的结果,对公司更有利。

社会亦如此!

随着培训的展开,班上的同学都表现出了符合国人特点的行为方式。看到有人在看书,就有人凑上去说一句:别假了!周末搞集体活动,有人想学习,但在别人有意无意的怂恿下,不好意思不参加,而且以后大家都是同事。还有没完没了的K歌,桌球,杀人,麻将……今天突然听到一位老师说,看到在早上来上课的班车上,有我们班的一位同学在车上看书!众人惊呼。这位老师接着又说,以前有个同学,每天晚上等同屋的人睡了,自己悄悄跑到卫生间去看书学习。众人再次发出惊愕之声……

不知道有多少人又在暗暗偷笑,有多少人开始感到恐慌。这就是我们每天面对的生死竞争!

 

Bloody competition

These days, I attended a training program held by my company. At the beginning, we were told that there is an examination at the end. The bad news is 15% of us can’t pass the exam. Everyone complained about this rule. Some said that it is unreasonable; it is unnecessary to make us to compete with others; all we must do is to learn something and make us competent to our daily works. And some asked that if all of us study hard and get a good score, is there still 15% of us who must be eliminated accord to this rule? The answer was cold: Yes!

A few days ago, my wife got her postgraduate student offer of Suzhou University. We both know it is not a very bad result. Her score passes the A line, but is still far away from the line of the university she wanted to go to. At last, she got an offer by redirection. The postgraduate student entrance examination is just like my training program. The higher score the competitors make, the higher pass line gets. There are always many competitors who fail at last ,whatever score they get. The universityentrance examination is the same. Every year, many students who aim to Tsinghua University or Peking University fail to get the offer, although they are all excellent in high school.

The bottom out system seems to be applicable in all important examinations. However excellent you are, you maybe bottom out at last. I think that an elimination mechanism exist because of lacking of resource. This is our bloody competition. But on the other hand, the result of our bloody competition is the better usage of resource. If we stand in high level to analyze, the consequence is good anyway. The more bloody a competition is, the better result it makes. It seems that our HR managers understand this point deeply. In my company, only the better one can survive. The better our performance is, the more profits our company gets.

The whole society is the same!

 

Man fight deadly, God chooses easily. So how to play the God’s role in competition? This is a big question!
