I went back to my hometown during this Chinese Spring Festival. I had dinner with my relatives and friends, exchanged ideas and fastened our family loves and friendships. Ultimately, I left with a box of bamboo-leaf-green tea which is very famous in my hometown.
The bamboo-leaf-green tea is a kind of green tea. The tea is flat strip shape, two taper, just like bamboo leaves, so that’s how it got this name. Usually, the resource leaves of tea trees are plucked three or five days before Qing Ming Festival. The standard shape of a leaf is one leaf on one bud or two leaves on one bud. They are all green sprouts which have the same size.
The best container for bamboo-leaf-green tea is a transparent glass. When pouring boiling water into the glass which contains some tea leaves, you can see clearly through the wall of the glass that the tea leaves run up and down. The up-down motions in the glass of all these green leaves look just like grand curves in the air made by gymnasts. And then, a burst of fragrance spread out slowly. It is just like the fresh morning air filled with water which cheers our spirits after a deep breath. As the up-down motions slow down, each leaf stands in the hot water. Half of them stand at the bottom, like dragons in deep water, and half of them stand just beneath the water surface, appearing to be going to jump out. Between bottom and surface, there is a green space which is just like the space between land and sky. Slowly, each leaf returns to the bottom. They move to the bottom straight. They are just like dragons swimming down to their palaces.
The tea tastes a little bit bitter, but not rough, and aftertaste is full of sweet. The most specific thing is that there is a favor full of vitalities contained in the tea soup rushing out. When holding a little tea soup in mouth, it is not just tea soup, it is also my power of life……
